North Florida Orff Chapter

of American Orff Schulwerk Association

Welcome to the North Florida Orff Chapter, a Chapter of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association.  We are elementary music teachers, middle school music teachers, preschool teachers, church musicians, professional musicians, retired music educators, and music lovers!

Coming together on a regular basis to learn from master teachers keeps us vitalized and energized to do the very important job of teaching children to be musical.  We welcome visitors and new members!  Just drop in and join us at our next workshop!

What teachers say about North Florida Orff Chapter:

“My favorite thing about attending an NFOC workshop is all of the hands-on learning that takes place. We teachers get to be the students, and it gives us a great perspective on how material will be perceived when taught to our students. My other favorite thing is the wonderful lesson plans and ideas that are in each workshop’s handout. I have saved them all in a huge notebook, and they are like gold!” – Andrea Duke, Music Educator, “The Treble with Music”

“Orff is a way of life.  Sing-Say-Dance-Play-Create.  How much better can it get than that?!” – Jim Solomon, Orff Master Teacher and NFOC founding member

“I love how convenient it is to attend workshops with nationally-known clinicians right here in Jacksonville. Such great ideas and you can earn professional hours!" – Virginia Dickert, Music Educator and Orff Specialist, NFOC founding member
